Why Choose Little River Marine

Built in the USA and in continuous operation since 1977, Little River Marine boats are crafted with marine composites, fiberglass and carbon fiber, not thermoformed plastic.

The result is a lighter, stronger, stiffer boat designed for years of real-world use on the water.

Why Weight Matters

Weight changes nearly every part of boat ownership.

A lighter boat is easier to move in the driveway, easier to launch at the shoreline, easier to load on a trailer, and easier to handle after a long row when energy is low.

On the water, less weight means quicker acceleration, better glide, and a more responsive feel with every stroke. More of your effort goes into moving the boat forward instead of dragging unnecessary mass.

Lighter weight can also mean:

  • Easier solo launching and retrieval
  • Simpler car topping and transport
  • Less strain on shoulders and back
  • Better efficiency for fitness rowing
  • More enjoyable handling in everyday use
  • Greater confidence for owners who row alone

Many boats are chosen in the showroom. Weight is appreciated every single time you use the boat.

Why Owners Choose Little River Marine

  • Exceptional stability in our skiff designs
  • Among the lightest weight skiffs available
  • Simple rigging, transport, and launching
  • Responsive rowing performance
  • Excellent long-term durability
  • A refined ownership experience from day one

When material choice matters, the difference is easy to feel.
