The world’s adventure rowing craft

Celebrating 32 years, Little River Marine has built over 10,000 Adventure rowing craft.  Our rowing shells and rowboats are hand crafted of fiberglass and carbon-fiber, the lightest and strongest method known.  Company founder Bill Larson, a former Master Nationals Medalist in rowing, designs our line, and oversees all aspects of construction.  All our boats are U.S. made at our home plant in Florida.  Our knowledge in sliding seat rowing and lightweight construction far exceeds any other builder of this kind.  Come in and see why…

Our skiffs, such as the Heritage 15 or Heritage 18 , are very stable rowboats that are perfect for exercise or family trips. Safe and dry, these boats are aesthetically beautiful and well crafted. Newest to our line of skiffs is the Heritage 12 , which is a compact version of the Heritage 15, designed to be a great sliding seat yacht tender and for people with space limitations.

Open water rowing shells, such as the Sprint , Sea Shell , or Cambridge , are light, fast, and exciting to row. With some experience, they can even handle the ocean. In calm waters, almost anyone can learn to row these sculling shells in one outing.

A crossover shell, the Regatta has a open water hull with a flat deck, for ultra-light weight. Flat water rowing shells, like the Olympus or Pro Am , are for competitive sculling and training. They are best suited to athletic people who do most of their rowing on calm water, but the speed and grace of flat water sculling shells can be amazing!

A story by Bill Parlatore about rowing. The best full-body exercise that has no limitations on age, sex or any lifestyle. Make your body as fit as possible and enjoy longer and healthier life with a sliding seat row boat. This is one of those delicious stories that takes on life from many perspectives. It is my favorite type of project, appealing from many angles. It began last fall when a birthday put me on the backside of my 50s, and I acknowledged the need for a more personal focus on fitness.
